9th International Conference on
Contemporary Problems of Thermal Engineering

Thermal engineering in the era of energy transition

23-25 September 2026 (Wednesday - Friday)

In-person | Kraków, Poland

About the conference

CPOTE is a conference organized by the Department of Thermal Technology at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. It brings together researchers working on energy and exergy analysis. The scope of the conference covers power and thermal engineering and other topics associated with energy and thermodynamics, with a special focus on sustainability. The 1st CPOTE conference, held in 1998, was dedicated to the 50th Jubilee of Prof. Szargut's scientific activity. Since then, seven more editions of the conference have taken place. The 9th edition is co-organzied by the Faculty of Energy and Fuels at AGH University of Science and Technology and will take place in Kraków.

Conference topics

The scope of the conference is organized into tracks covering areas of research and methodologies commonly used in those areas. During paper submission, please select an area of research and a methodology that best matches the content of your paper. This will help us assign appropriate reviewers and organize the conference sessions. We hope the proposed tracks will help match your interests with the conference sessions. If you have any suggestions regarding the proposed tracks, please email us at cpote@s-conferences.eu.

The conference topics include the following tracks; you can assign your abstracts to any of them. Each abstract should be assigned both an area of research and a methodology so that thematic sessions at the conference can be organized around these tracks.
